New American Leaders Project wants to use their Pepsi grant to work with immigrants and their children to become engaged and active leaders in their communities.

The Leadership Center for the Common Good is working to empower parents to be a part of improving the schools for their children.

 

The Ohio Center for Progressive Leadership is hoping to provide 25 young people from underrepresented communities in Ohio with training, job support, mentoring and networking to help make a difference.

COHHIO is involved in a range of housing assistance services in Ohio, including homeless prevention, emergency shelters, transitional housing and permanent affordable housing with linkages to supportive services. 

Wisconsin Voices is a state-based collaboration that wants to provide support, training and mentorship for nonprofit and community leaders in Wisconsin.

The Inner City Law Center is hoping to provide direct services and legal support for homeless veterans who are looking for safe and clean housing in Los Angeles.

Keystone Progress Education Fund is working to teach rural and inner-city nonprofit how to use communications and social media to help pursue social change in Pennsylvania.

Institute for American Leadership is providing stipends for diverse young people to get internships at nonprofits in Washington, D.C. this summer.

Workplace Fairness is working to create a survival guide for recently unemployed and laid off workers.

League of Young Voters Education Fund is helping young people get state-issued IDs in order to guarantee that they have the right to vote.

Equality Ohio is providing training and leadership development for LGBT leaders across the state of Ohio.

 

Common Market is connecting schools and local farm communities in Pennsylvania through healthier and more sustainable food options.

East Park Revitalization Alliance is providing healthier food options for low-income neighborhoods in Philadelphia.

 

Uncommon Good is competing in order to securing funding for a mentoring program for at-risk kids in California.

 

The Community Conferencing Center is ensuring fair justice in inner city neighborhoods in Baltimore by helping victims and young offenders resolve their issues safely and collaboratively.

Connecticut Women's Education and Legal Fund is working to help empower women volunteer into powerful community leaders for women's issues.

Jewish Community Action is working to stop foreclosures and help families be able to stay in their homes across Washington, D.C.

 

the slate has included organizations working to help the homeless, provide food to the poor, combat human trafficking in the u.s., protect children from dangerous slum housing, provide nonprofit internships for low-income youth, and give young people access to life-saving health care.
